Due to the recent price cut, Nexus 4 8GB variant has gone out of stock on Google Play in the United States. Though the 16GB version is still available for sale at $249, Google announces that it will not restock the 8GB version any more. This will mean that until its next smartphone launch, customers are left with only one option, i.e. the 16GB version. The next smartphone is expected not to be out for at least a month now.
The Verge speculates that Google is likely to keep the 8GB version in other Google Play country stores as long as the current stocks last. And once it is finished, it too will act the same way it is acting for the United States.
Google Nexus 4 is manufactured by LG and was launched in October last year. To remind you, its features include 4.7-inch HD display, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 8MP rear camera, Android 4.3 and 2GB of RAM.
