Computer peripherals maker Intex has decided to take a leap with the launch of its latest Aqua i7 Android phone earlier this week. This smartphone will cost INR 21,900 and features a 5-inch full HD 1080p display. It is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek.
Intex Aqua i7 seems to be running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes with 32GB of on-board storage and 2GB of RAM. It has a 13MP rear camera for better photography and 5MP front camera for video calling. The only loop hole of Intex is the meagre 2000 mAh battery on-board. Because the 5-inch FHD display on the phone is going to have huge battery consumption and the company should have ideally included at least 3,000mAh or even 2500 mAh battery on the phone. But since it is a re-branded Chinese OEM device, Intex must not have had any contribution to the hardware in the phone.
Intex in a press release noted, “Intex Aqua i7 also comes pre-loaded with “Matrabhasha” – a multi-lingual application introduced by Intex in 2013, which allows a user to operate the phone in preferred regional language supporting upto 22 regional languages including: Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Maithili, Marathi, Bodo, Santhali, Manipuri, Sindhi, Dogri, Konkani, Nepali and more.”
Intex points out that Aqua i7 will be available in Pearl White and Pearl Black colors from September 9th onwards. The veteran company is also planning on a few free accessories with the phone like a flip cover and screen-protector.
