Alcatel has added a new member to its One Touch series smartphone named as Hero which by the way according to Alcatel One Touch Hero is “what can easily be dubbed as the most interesting set of accessories that we have seen in the recent times.”
Alcatel One Touch Hero will feature a 6-inch full HD display 2GB of RAM, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 13MP rear camera, 8/ 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Android 4.2, 2GB of RAM and 3400 mAh battery.
Let’s talk interesting now! Alcatel has recently announced at least six accessories with support for One Touch Hero of with e-ink cover is considered to be the most interesting one. It is basically a second-screen (e-ink display based) for your phone that will attach itself to the phone covering the main screen and you can see pretty much everything that you will normally see via this e-ink display. Its main objective is to make reading newspapers, e-books, magazines and other text-rich content easier and save your battery life.
It has also come up with another interesting accessory known as the MagicFlip cover. It will cover the front of the phone and display notifications on the cover using the embedded LED. Below are some images showing MagicFlip cover in action.
Some other accessories will include a companion bluetooth enabled secondary phone like HTC Mini (and Mini+), a Pico Projector, TV Link connectivity device for mirroring smartphone display on TV, wireless charger with a cover (which enables wireless charging on the phone) and a stylus (probably comes bundled with the phone).
The company stated in a press release, “The HERO is challenging the conventional smart phone category, merging technologies and enabling users to personalize their device to suit their passion with a wealth of accessories.”
