Select who may see you as Online vs. Offline in Facebook Chat
Click on the chat bar. It opens with the list of friends who are available.
Go to the options button in the top right corner (looks like a little wheel).
Click on Advanced Settings. A box will appear with 3 different options.
- You can turn ON your chat for all friends except for a few whose names you type in, so that everyone other than those people will think you are online.
- You can appear OFFLINE for all of your friends except for a few whose names you type in.
- The third option is where you can just turn the chat completely off.

How to Hide a Status Update from Certain Friends
Click in the status update box.
Click on the button in the bottom right hand corner next to the “Post” button (it will have options like Public, Friends, Only Me, etc. depending on your current settings).
Go to “Custom” and a box will pop up. At the bottom of the box you will find something like “Don’t share this with these people or lists”. In the box following that statement type in the names of the people who you would prefer not sees your status update.
How to Tag Friends in Status Updates
Click in the status update box.
Type your message. Before you type the person’s name put @ sign so that when you begin typing their name a list of your Facebook friends will appear.
Select the person you are looking for.
How to Schedule Facebook Posts
Go to your profile page.
Click in the status box at the top.
Select the type of post you would like from among options like status, photo, life event, etc.
Enter your post but before hitting the post button click on the little clock symbol that is the second symbol in the bottom left corner of the status box. It will enable you to select the date and time when you would like your post to appear.

Go to “Settings…” And select whether you would like all updates, most updates or only important updates to appear on your news feed.
Post Text Upside Down
Facebook has this interesting feature where you may post all your status updates with upside down text.

Click “Flip Text” and it will generate your message upside down. Then all you have to do is copy and paste the text onto Facebook.
Edit Your Published Comments
Did you make a spelling or grammar mistake or change your mind about your comment? You may fix it too.
Just hover over the comment and click on the pencil symbol.
Facebook will allow options to edit or remove your comment. It only works for comments and not for status updates. Status updates can be deleted and not edited.
