The Jaipur Literature Festival is held at the historic Diggi Palace hotel. It is located in Sangram Colony, Ashok Nagar where M.I. Road ends. It is just a 10 minutes’ walk from the Old City of Jaipur. As 2012 saw an overflow of Diggi Palace, a new venue (Char Bagh) has been added for 2014. With the addition, the capacity has been expanded by another 5,000 people per hour. The music stage will also be shifted to the new venue, The Clarks Amer lawns. It is a 15 minutes drive towards south of Diggi Palace.

Activist Ganesh N Devy, American social and political activist Gloria Steinem, British historian Antony Beevor, and novelist Geoff Dyer, Hollywood actor Rupert Everett, and travel writers Robyn Davidson and Cheryl Strayed are also expected to mark their presence.
