The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in India has taken the step to shift Indian television from analog to digital system. The whole process is anticipated to be done in four faces and is targeted to be completed by March 31, 2015. The four metro cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai have already converted into digital cable system. The second phase is on the run. After its completion, Digital Set-Top Box will become mandatory to watch TV channels. Dish TV is the largest DTH service provider in the whole of Asia and is on the verge of becoming the largest service provider in the world. Dish TV is one of the most common DTH in India. Since, Dish TV is launched by the ZEE group; the entire channels will be available on the provider. You can also save you recordings on an external USB drive.
3. AIRTEL Digital TV
Airtel is also preferred by the TV enthusiast because of the large number channels in True HD it provides. Another reason for its popularity is that the channel packages are too good and prices quite reasonable.
4. TATA SKY
Tata sky also gives a tough competition in the market. Tata sky has no unwanted deduction or any hidden charges and hence approached by most. But, it is the most expensive DTH provider mentioned in this list.
5. Reliance Big TV
Reliance Big TV provides you with all the big TV review channels in 1080p HD at 50Hz. It offers the lowest price in the DTH category. But the sales service is not that good but above average.
6. SUN Direct
Sun Direct TV mainly focuses on the south and provides the largest number of south Indian regional language channels. Therefore, an ideal buy for all south Indian. However, since it does not have much of the other channels, we don’t recommend sun direct for the rest of India.
