Technology is picking up pace in every age today! Kids are particularly enthusiast and inquisitive about technology. Hence the built-for-kids tablet market is growing at a pretty rapid pace. Samsung too have entered the market by just announcing the newest member of the Galaxy family: the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. This pioneering gadget is abundant with kid-like software features.
The GT3K will come pre-loaded with the most popular children’s apps and a Kid’s Store filled with every kind of software needed to “drive the educational possibilities of technologies for kids.”
This brand new gadget will come with a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Its camera is 3-megapixel on the rear and 1-megapixel on the front along with 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. There will be no network connectivity but it will easily connect to 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. It is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Samsung has very thoughtfully included a time management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods for their kids to use the tablet. The screen will be password protected and can not be unlocked without adult supervision. A number of apps for education, gaming, entertainment, and e-book reading are preloaded in the tablet.
This Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will come to the market in early September in Korea and later will be spread to the U.S., Europe, China, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. Though Samsung hasn’t announced a price, we are probably estimating it to be somewhere around the $199 mark.
