Sony is on the roll to update its Xperia Z Ultra even if it has not reached many hands yet. The new update will bring in a lot of new features, especially in the multimedia field. However, the device will stick on to Android 4.2.
This giant phablet was announced back in June with a 6.33-inch 1080p screen, a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and an 8 rear megapixel camera. Though this smart phone has received quite a few updates in the future, it seems that Sony is not yet satisfied.
This new update will come under the build number of 14.1.B.1.510 and will include certain enhancements to the Xperia Z Ultra’s multimedia stack. A few of those includes X-Reality for Mobile to improve the photo and image quality and a Superior Auto Mode for the camera. The update will also have provisions for one-hand keyboard operation, a fresh look for the stock e-mail app and finally a white background user interface.
Sony’s PC Companion software is needed to download and apply this 770 MB update. However this update has been confirmed in Hong Kong and Indonesia and will take some time to reach the other countries.
