Make the right choice in career has always been the toughest choice for an individual. India is a country where careers such as engineering and medical professionals are considered a part of the élite group of bureaucracy. But not all can get into these professions.
But it does not mean that you cannot make big money with lower education. Today a lot of options have emerged up in India. All you need to do is to follow your heart, find out what you need and stick on to it.
There are many career options today through which you can not only make money but gain fame and status in the society as well.
By lower education I mean least a graduation degree in this article. Success never comes instantly. Therefore, over time as you gain experiences your prospects in the field increases as the monetary benefits.
Careers choices like RJ’s, VJ’s, stock market professionals, and even BPO professionals earn respectable salaries compared to top-level managers in MNCs. These careers that were considered unconventional in the past are now becoming easier to pursue without Indian parents questioning the choice at all.
Below I have compiled fruitful career choices you can take up with a least graduation and more than 7 years of experience for high earning. Check these out!
1. Radio Jockeys and Video Jockeys
Are you a chatty kind of a person? Can you keep on talking nonstop? If your answer to these is yes, saying “Good Morning…..” to your listeners will be a perfect hike in your career. RJs and VJs are seen earning a lot more than the past and have become a household name too. You get both recognition and money in this profession.
The radio industry of India is in the budding stage and we now have big conglomerates also coming in to set radio stations across the length and breadth of the country hence the prospect for you is enormous.
Even though industry experts do not feel the need of any formal training to become an RJ but as the competition increases, a Diploma in RJ course or something on that line will come handy. What-so-ever, no course can guarantee you success unless you have a very good language skill and just the right proportion of confidence.
Radio and TV channels come with advertisement to hire professionals from time to time.
2. BPO Professionals
Yes, call center professionals get stuck in their job profiles and don’t get to higher levels but they d get paid well.
If you are a graduate and are willing to spend many years at a particular company, making it to the higher levels such as assistant process leader, process leader and other higher positions won’t seem farfetched.
However, most graduates become BPO Professionals to earn quick bucks and get their MBA’s with the money.
3. Become an Author
If you have a good command on the English language, become an author. All you need is imagination and creativity.
However, publishing your own book through a recognized publisher is tough but in the age of internet people have the luxury to publish their work. Self-publishing is a concept which is also gaining more and more ground today.
Another advantage of becoming a writer is that you need not even leave your current job. You can try your hand at writing a novel alongside your job.
I am not keeping your expectations too high with the profession of acting. If you have talent you’ll make it at least to the theater, even if you could not make it to the big screen.
Slowly, you can opt for the mainstream cinema too.
5. Stock Market Professionals
If you are a B.com graduate you are more than qualified to join as a broker in leading trading companies. Fresh college graduates can look for “Trainee” positions in stock brokerage firms.
Gain some experience and move to higher positions. Though these professionals earn good but the workload is enormous. You will need to be vigilant for that matter. There are also some specific courses that can be done to join the stock market. A few such courses are offered by National Stock Exchange I India.
You must be competent enough to analyze a situation properly and always be with the right state of mind. With the right amount of experience later on, you can become consultants and handle independent group of clients.
6. Information Technology Managers
The Indian I.T sector is on the hot platter in the world market. It you have a B.Tech (I.T) or a graduate degree from other courses like Bsc. (I.T) and Bsc. (Computer Science) with more than five years of experience you can make it to the higher echelons of small I.T companies, or at least managerial level positions in multinational companies.
MBA (I.T) speeds up the prospect too.
7. Professional Fitness Trainers/Yoga Teachers
With Indians becoming more health and fitness conscious fitness experts and yoga trainers who have a major role in shaping the overall stature is on high demand.
As the people have woke up to the call of the benefits of keeping oneself fit in the ever-increasing health hazards of the daily life from pollution to space-crunch to ingrained unhygienic habits, fitness expert will never go out of sight.
Also people don’t hesitate to spend health these days – a plus.
The demand for yoga trainers is increasing not only in India, especially in the last few years yoga has grown manifold in the United States and other parts of the west.
8. Event Managers
The best thing about the profession for an event manger is that you only need a bachelor’s degree in any stream and a diploma or one year post-graduate program from any institute. The course in not compulsory though.
All you need is great communication and organizational skills and you can work on projects for event management companies, hotels, big corporate houses etc.
9. Tourism Professionals
The tourism industry in India is at a bloom on which the government is directly dependent.
When compared to our neighbor China, India is far behind in terms of international tourist. However, India’s domestic travel figures are great. However, India will definitely emerge as one of the top destination in the coming years and thus this will be an ideal career option to consider.
If you are of the kind of person who does not like to be ruled, entrepreneurship is a great career option. Entrepreneurs today exist in every industry. Also some of our famous college dropouts have been earning multi-billion dollars across the world today. You will be subjected to risks but no pain, no gain, right?
